Getting Connected
The CMU Network
What does "getting connected" mean? It means you can get access to a variety of CMU's resources in a number of different ways. If you're using a computer from a residence hall, an office, or a lab and need to access the internet or other resources, we provide high-speed connections to the CMU network. We also support wireless connections all across campus. Should you need access to your work materials from an off-campus location, our a Virutal Private Network (VPN) is readily available and easy to use.Phones and Cable TV
We also provide a variety of additional services related to phones and cable television here on campus. Many of the latest cell phones and cell phone plans are available by means of the CMU Cellular Program. For land-line telephones, the CMU Calling Card program assists with long-distance calls. Our Cable TV system supports standard basic service as well as premium channels for every residence hall room and campus apartment and we provide help with installation and repair.
