What is the CMU Long Distance Program and how do I sign up?
The CMU Long Distance Program is available to students, staff, and faculty. It features a flat 9 cents per minute rate for domestic calls, and competitive international rates. Signing up is simple; just visit Telecommunications in Woldt Lower Level; bring your picture ID.
Where do I get information on cell phones through CMU?
You can rent cellular phones through Telecommunications on a daily, weekend, weekly, or monthly basis. Contracts are available with a number of cellular providers. Contact Telecommunications at 774-3091 for more details, including current pricing, or see CONNECT: CMU Cellular Services.
How do I order premium channels on campus cable?
Unfortunately, premium channels are no longer offered to those living in residence halls or apartments. This is effective as of July, 2009.
How do I get an additional phone line in my dorm room?
To order an additional phone line for a dorm room, you must fill in an application at the Help Desk. An installation fee and a monthly fee apply.
What additional services are available for my CMU phone?
Voice mail is available for on-campus phones. To request voice mail, fill in an application in person at the Help Desk. A programming fee and monthly charges apply.
