CMU Student Health Insurance Plan 2009-2010
CMU Health Services strongly recommends that all students maintain health insurance coverage to protect against the financial burden that unexpected medical expenses could create.
CMU has partnered with First Risk Advisors underwritten by United Health Care, to offer a policy which is affordable yet provides essential coverage. Benefits are available for physician office visits, hospital care, tests and procedures, X-rays, laboratory services, prescription drugs, mental health and more.
Most medical services rendered at CMU Health Services are covered at 100% after a ten dollar co-pay with no annual deductible.
The 2009-2010 Central Michigan University Student Health Insurance plan is available to CMU students, their spouses and dependents. The preferred provider organization (PPO) portion of the plan is Cofinity with which most Michigan hospitals participate. Brochures and application forms will be available online at www.firststudent.com or can be picked up at the Business Office in Foust 108.
