Scholarship Information

The National Scholarship Program assists top academic students competing for the following national and international scholarships and fellowships.

Boren Scholarship and Fellowship provides support to U.S. undergraduate and graduate students to study languages and cultures in areas of the world that are critical to U.S. interests.

Fulbright Program offers opportunities for students, scholars, and professionals to undertake international graduate study, advanced research, university teaching, and teaching in elementary and secondary schools worldwide. The program is designed to “increase mutual understanding between people of the U.S. and people of other countries.”

Gates Cambridge Scholarship are for graduate study and research in any field at the University of Cambridge. Scholarships are awarded on the following criteria: intellectual ability, leadership capacity, a good fit with Cambridge, and a commitment to improving the lives of others.

Goldwater Scholarship is designed to encourage outstanding students to pursue careers in mathematics, the natural sciences, and engineering. The purpose of the Goldwater Scholarship Foundation is to provide a continual source of highly qualified scientists, mathematicians, and engineers by awarding scholarships to college sophomores and juniors who intend to pursue careers in these fields.

Madison Fellowships support individuals striving to become outstanding teachers of the American Constitution. The fellowship provides support for graduate study that focuses on the Constitution, its history and contemporary relevance to the practices and policies of democratic government.

Marshall Scholarship support U.S. students in any field to study at the graduate level at a United Kingdom institution. Marshall Scholars are expected to become leaders in their disciplines and to strengthen the “unique relationship” that exists between the U.S. and the U.K.

George Mitchell Scholarship awards are designed to introduce and connect generations of future American leaders to the island of Ireland, while recognizing and fostering intellectual achievement, leadership, and a commitment to community and public service.

Rhodes Scholarship is designed to bring academically outstanding college seniors and graduates who display high character and energy to study at the University of Oxford. Evidence of these credentials may be reflected in athletic accomplishments or other significant extra-curricular activities.

Truman Scholarships provide funding to students pursuing graduate degrees in public service fields. Students must be college juniors at the time of selection. The Truman Foundation also provides assistance with career counseling, internship placement, graduate school admissions, and professional development.

Udall Scholarships are designed to support college sophomores and juniors committed to careers related to the environment, tribal public policy, or Native American issues.
