Disability Accommodation Overview for New Faculty

Classroom accommodations

We pride ourselves in providing a caring, supportive, and safe campus environment. We do this by educating our faculty and staff about academic and employment accommodations for those with disabilities and our responsibility to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act.

All faculty and staff are strongly encouraged to participate in training regarding this topic when offered.  In addition, faculty should familiarize themselves with the accommodation process on the Student Disability Services website.

Workplace accommodations

When an employee becomes unable to perform the essential duties of their position as a result of a disability covered under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Central Michigan University is committed to providing reasonable workplace accommodations
