Filing the FAFSA
Your first step in paying for college is filing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Here’s what to do:
- Gather your tax information. You may use estimated income from year-end check stubs and W-2 forms to complete the FAFSA.
- Complete and send the FAFSA either on the Web or through your high school counseling office.
- List CMU’s name and Title IV School Code: 002243.
- For priority consideration, apply and send your FAFSA online no later than March 1 or by U.S. mail no later than February 15.
