Held each fall, the Connections Leadership Conference serves as a networking workshop for campus leaders. Through collaboration, relevant issues are discussed with the intent of making a positive impact on campus and in the community. Connections is open to all CMU students with varying levels of leadership experience.  Whether a new student leader, or the president of a registered student organization, everyone can benefit from the sessions offered at the 8th annual Connections Leadership conference.

The 2007 Connections Leadership Conference will be held November 17 & 18, 2007 at the Great Wolf Lodge in Traverse City, MI.  Located in beautiful northern Michigan, Traverse City and affords access to a variety of cultural and social opportunities.  Evening social activities will be planned to help you continue to network with your student colleagues, or feel free to explore the town on your own!

This year the Connections Leadership Conference will also play host to the Greek Leadership Institute, a specifically designed series of workshops designed to help fraternity men and sorority women identify the issues facing their chapters and develop a creative action plan to address those needs.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION
The Connections Conference is offered to students at the minimal cost of $45.00 thanks to support from the Campus Programming Fund.  Registration for CMU students includes a one-night stay at the conference venue.  Students from other institutions may register for Connections at the $45 rate but must also arrange their own lodging.

CONFERENCE FACILITIES
Giving new meaning to the term “year-round resort,” Great Wolf Lodge defies the weather outside with an indoor waterpark experience that has young and old soaking in the fun!  Whether it's 10 degrees below or raining cats and dogs, it's always a balmy 84 degrees inside the resort's huge, 38,000 square-foot indoor waterpark. Bear Track Landing puts the emphasis on fun with 11 waterslides, six pools and a four-story treehouse waterfort. The state-of-the-art facility utilizes nearly 200,000 gallons of water that is splashed, sprayed, waved and played in.

While staying at the Great Wolf Lodge you can relax in the Loose Moose Cottage. Enjoy the company of your friends and family while unwinding with your favorite drink or savory sandwich.   This enchanted cottage-themed restaurant features whimsical stained glass windows,a magical flying owl scene, natural sandstone rustic fireplace and Lucy the Moose, who sings everything from Sinatra to Garth Brooks.  The Spirit Island Snack Shop in Bear Track Landing is perfect for a bite to eat while you are enjoying the waterpark. Menu items include snacks such as hot dogs, pizza, and nachos, frozen drinks and other beverages.

CONFERENCE SPEAKERS
This year's keynote address will be delivered by Melanie Hartman of High Impact Training.  Melanie's presentation, "Living and Leading from the Inside Out," has won several awards and make Melanie one of the most popular speakers on college campuses across the nation.  Melanie’s personal motto is: be true to yourself. She believes that if we all did this, we could work from the inside out and enjoy more personal and professional success.
