Central Michigan University Leadership Institute

The 2009 LeaderShape Institute will take place May 11-16 at the Adventure Learning Center at Eagle Village.

LEADERSHIP involves making a commitment to a vision, developing relationships to bring the vision into a reality, and sustaining a high level of integrity. Effective leadership produce results--exceptional improvements in organizations and communities.

LeaderShape participants will spend a week living and working with other students and faculty exploring leadership development theory, self-reflection, and team building, and learning how these areas contribute to developing your leadership skills. The institute is broken down into six highly intensive and interactive days:

Day One: "Building Community"
Day Two: "The Value of One, the Power of All"
Day Three: "Challenging What Is, Looking To What Could Be"
Day Four: "Bringing Vision To Reality"
Day Five: "Living and Leading With Integrity"
Day Six: "Staying in Action"

The LeaderShape® Institute is based in Champaign, Illinois and partners with Central Michigan University and other institutions to provide an interactive, energetic, and unique experience that builds leadership skills. This year CMU was one of nearly 60 colleges and universities to offer this experience. Since its it inception in 1986 the Institute has helped over 20,000 participants lead with integrity. REGISTRATION
The application and registration process for LeaderShape 2009 has begun. If you would like additional information or would like to recommend someone as a LeaderShape participant please email Dan Gaken (Daniel.Gaken@cmich.edu).

Once you have successfully registered for LeaderShape you will receive an email with details about an orientation session. A $45 deposit is required to hold your spot. This will be returned upon your arrival at the conference facility.
