Q: What is The Academy?
A: The Academy is a program developed by the Central Michigan University Leadership Institute to provide high school students the fundamental leadership skills that will help position them as leaders in their schools and communities.

Q: What will I learn at The Academy?
A: Participants will learn basic teambuilding and leadership skills and will apply them in a variety of scenarios and situations.  A majority of the learning experiences will be accomplished through small and large group cooperatives and initiatives.

Q: Who can attend The Academy?
A: Any student enrolled in a Michigan high school is welcome to attend.

Q: Where will I eat and sleep during The Academy?
A: The Academy Participants will have the opportunity to stay in the comfort of a Central Michigan University residence hall and enjoy the food in the adjoining residential restaurant.  To learn more about the facilities and accommodations for The Academy click here.

Q: How much does The Academy cost to attend?
A: The Academy's $285.00 registration fee covers your conference materials, lodging, and meals.  Registration for students commuting from home is only $160.00.  To learn more or to register click here.

A: The Academy will be held July 13-17, 2008 on the campus of Central Michigan University.

Q: When is the registration deadline?
