International Students and Scholars
International Student and Scholar Services provide advising services to students and scholars at CMU on F, J, and other nonimmigrant visas. In addition to advising on immigration matters, we provide programming and events for new student orientation, cultural awareness, and student success.
Our mission
The International Student and Scholar Services unit within the Office of International Affairs and Graduate Recruitment advocates for the international community at Central Michigan University.
By welcoming international students, scholars, faculty, and staff to CMU, we work to ensure their success at CMU while supporting and educating the international community on compliance with immigration regulations, cultural awareness, and acclimation to education within the United States. We collaborate with key units across campus to ensure the international community is able to make the most of their educational experiences at CMU.
We are also a resource for the wider CMU community to facilitate international cultural exchange and understanding.
