Office of LGBTQ+ Services and Gender Equity

Text.

The Office of LGBTQ+ Services and Gender Equity Programs is an office housed in the Center for Student Inclusion and Diversity (CSID), ultimately reporting to Student Affairs. The office is charged with offering programming and support services, for those with diverse genders and sexualities at CMU. The office also offers the campus community education and awareness of the ways homophobia, transphobia, and gender-based violence impact our students, staff, and faculty. Finally, the office serves as an advocate for inclusion and equity for LGBTQ+ people, women, and other historically marginalized groups at all levels of the institution.

Located within the CSID in the Bovee University Center, the Office of LGBTQ+ Services and Gender Equity Program offers a brave space for all students to explore their identity, learn about others, and share their experiences. The space is also a welcoming environment for students to relax, eat lunch, do homework, or spend time between classes.
