In the Multicultural Advancement and Cofer Scholarship Residential Community, you’ll learn and grow in community with classmates who share your values of academic excellence, diversity, and community service. You’ll enjoy access to exceptional academic and social support services, and you’ll play an important role in fostering an inclusive environment at CMU.
The MACRC is centrally located in Troutman Hall, part of the Towers Residential Community. Troutman features one-bedroom suites with private bathrooms shared by two students. It offers easy access to the fitness center, convenience store, residential restaurant, math and writing centers, academic advisors and more.
Requirements
The MACRC living-learning community is designed for recipients of Multicultural Advancement and Lloyd M. Cofer Scholarships. These scholarships are awarded to students who have demonstrated a commitment to academic achievement, community service, enhancing diversity, multiculturalism and inclusion.
How to apply
The first step is to apply for a Multicultural Advancement or Lloyd M. Cofer Scholarship. Next, apply for CMU housing through our Office of Residence Life. If you earn a scholarship, you will be placed in the MACRC living-learning community.
