What We Do
- Research support -- Librarians will answer research questions and provide one-on-one research consultations (either face-to-face or online) upon request. They can also help with literature searches, the creation of subject bibliographies,
and patent searching.
- Instruction -- Instruction in the use of the library and in locating information is available for both face-to-face and online classes. A librarian will tailor the instruction to the needs of your class.
- Course development -- As new courses are developed and old ones updated, a librarian can work with you to identify resources from the library's collections and beyond that will support the learning objectives of your course.
- Collection development -- Subject librarians take suggestions for materials purchases that support teaching and research.
- Scholarly communication and support -- Questions about copyright, measuring research impact, author rights, the use of open educational resources, data management, and more can be answered by your subject librarian.
- Program reviews -- Accreditation and academic program reviews typically include a discussion of available library resources and services. Your subject librarian can help with this.
