Meet our physical therapy team
John Andraka PT, DPT, PhD
Dr. Andraka received his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree at Drexel University in Philadelphia and his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree at Central Michigan University. He is a Board-Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). Dr. Andraka enjoys treating orthopedic and post-operative diagnoses of the shoulder, elbow, hip, knee, foot & ankle and has extensive experience working with overhead athletes. His research interests include diagnostic ultrasound imaging, joint mobilizations, and taping.
Emily Schubbe PT, DPT, EdD
Dr. Schubbe received both her DPT and Doctor of Education (EdD) degrees from A.T. Still University in Mesa, Arizona and is Board-Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist. She enjoys working with vestibular, spinal, and post-operative diagnoses as well as using dry needling for treatment. Her research interests have included cultural competence in physical therapy education/practice and rural healthcare initiatives, and she hopes to further study different manual techniques for trigger point treatment. Dr. Schubbe enjoys traveling, camping, hiking, and paddle boarding.
Jamie Haines, PT, DScPT
Dr. Haines received her Master of Physical Therapy (MSPT) degree from Grand Valley State University and her Doctor of Science in Physical Therapy (DScPT) at Oakland University. She is a Board Certified Neurologic Clinical Specialist. She has been a physical therapist for 30 years and has extensive experience working with people with Parkinson’s disease (PD), vestibular dysfunction, stroke, and multiple sclerosis. She is a Parkinson’s Foundation Faculty Scholar and recently received a grant from the Parkinson’s Foundation to promote accessibility to PD-specific care in rural communities. Her research interests include Parkinson’s disease and interventions to improve recovery in people with neurologic conditions. Dr. Haines' passion for physical therapy is contagious. So much so that her daughter Allison, a recent graduate of the Doctoral Program in Physical Therapy at CMU, is now a pediatric physical therapist in Midland, Michigan.
Jessica Sullivan PT, DPT, DHSc
Dr. Sullivan received her DPT at Central Michigan University and her Doctor of Health Science (DHSc) degree from the University of Indianapolis. She enjoys working with orthopedic and neurological conditions across all ages and commonly treats vestibular conditions as well. Her research interests include rural health, clinical reasoning in physical therapy practice, hippotherapy for neurological conditions, and vestibular rehabilitation. Dr. Sullivan is a third generation equine enthusiast who enjoys the sport of barrel racing.
Frances Wenzel PT, DPT
Dr. Wenzel, the new clinic director, received her DPT from Midwestern University. She enjoys working with pelvic health diagnoses for both men and women, as well as general orthopedic conditions. She is fluent in Spanish and has a working knowledge of American Sign Language. Her research interests include integrating physical therapy services into preventative healthcare. Dr. Wenzel has travelled multiple times to Central America to provide pro bono physical therapy services to the local communities.
