Admitted PA Applicants

Learn more about the expectations and requirements for matriculating into our PA program.

Pre-matriculation timeline

If you are offered a seat in our PA program, detailed instructions on our matriculation process will be provided. Offers of admission can be made through the end of April for the start of classes in May. Orientation for the incoming cohort will take place in mid-April. During orientation, you will receive information on financial aid, registration, matriculation requirements (criminal background check, immunizations, health screening), and first day expectations.

Pre-matriculation checklist

  1. Health insurance policy
    • You are required to have health insurance coverage for the duration of the PA program. You are responsible for any medical fees accrued from injury or illness sustained while participating in the program. Failure to maintain health insurance will result in you being unable to progress through the program.
  2. Immunizations
    • Federal Occupation Safety and Health Act (OSHA) guidelines and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have published recommended vaccinations for healthcare workers. You are expected to comply with these recommendations before matriculation into the program. You will be asked to provide proof of immunizations or immunity.
  3. Health Screening
    • You are required to have a comprehensive physical exam completed by a medical provider prior to matriculation.
  4. Criminal Background Check
    • You are required to complete a background check prior to matriculation

Technology requirements

You are responsible for purchasing your own computer. All exams will be administered electronically via the Exam Soft platform during the didactic year and via the PA Education Association (PAEA) exam delivery platform with secure client during the clinical year.  PC and macOS devices are compatible to the software used. It is highly recommended to use a laptop versus an iPad.
