Our department offers several scholarships to help fund your French studies abroad. Amounts vary by year and by the number of applications.

Quebec
Chicoutimi: Université du Québec
- An international yet personalized language experience through French courses, cultural activities and outdoor recreation.
- Students are placed according to their individual level in classes that are small and emphasize spoken French.
- Chicoutimi is located north of Quebec City in the Saguenay area, famous for its spectacular scenery.
- The population is 97% French-speaking.
Dates
- Fall Semester: September-December.
- Winter Semester: January-April.
- Spring Session: May-June.
- Summer Session: July-August.
- Business French: July.
Approximate costs
- Semester: $1296 CDN.
- Summer: $1875 CDN.
- Business French: $1625 CDN.
- Transportation and CMU enrollment fee not included.
- Food and housing included in summer.
Credits
- Semester: 15 credits.
- Summer: 7 credits.
- Business Course: 4 credits.
- The Business French course can be combined with the Summer Session for a total of 7 credits.

- Room with family.
GPA
- 2.5 overall. Students of all French levels admitted.

Nice
Institut pour les Affiares et la Gestion (IPAG)
- IPAG is an international-oriented business school located in beautiful Nice, France.
- No prior knowledge of French is required.
- French language instruction and French history courses are available in addition to the English-language core business courses offered.
Dates
- Fall Semester: September - December.
- Spring Semester: February - June.
- Fall and Spring Semesters also possible.

- Tuition exchange.
- Transportation and CMU enrollment fee not included.
Housing
- Upon arrival, IPAG makes arrangements for a rental agent to help students find an apartment to rent in Nice. Apartment rent is comparable to the cost of renting an apartment in Mt. Pleasant.
