Digital Michigan Newspaper Grant Program
Central Michigan University’s Clarke Historical Library is pleased to offer a grant award to improve access to a Michigan newspaper.
The 2024 Digital Michigan Newspaper Grant Program awardees are:
- Ishpeming Area Historical Society and Cliffs Shaft Mine Museum, Ishpeming, MI
- Grace A. Dow Memorial Library, Midland, MI
- Lapeer District Library, Marguerite de Angeli Library, Lapeer, MI
- Howard Miller Library, Zeeland, MI
- DeWitt District Library, DeWitt, MI
- Alma Public Library, Alma, MI
This grant is made possible by the Robert and Susan Clarke Endowment with additional funding provided in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services through the Library of Michigan.
The grant funds are used for:
- Scanning and hosting online in the Clarke Historical Library’s Michigan Digital Newspapers Database of a previously microfilmed Michigan newspaper.
- Microfilming, scanning, and hosting online in the Clarke Historical Library’s Michigan Digital Newspapers Database of a straight run of a print Michigan newspaper.
