Mrs. Collar also used a variety of other subject indicators, from specific topics such as "Boats," "Doctors," or "Famine," to prospective chapter headings, including "The Island They Left," "The Trip Over," "The Island They Made," and others. The scholar seeking to reconstruct Mrs. Collar's own research process is encouraged to consult the original manuscript. Where possible, the secondary sources quoted by the author have been footnoted; however many of the entries did not include attributions.
