This is Conn's son. Francis is "Fanny." Her sisters were:

Thus 3 sisters married 3 brothers. They went to Penn. 1 st, where they had 3 uncles, & came to Beaver through Cornelius, "a close relative." Information from Clementine. Is it possible these are the girls Cornelius accompanied to the Island?

 

These families all moved to Escanaba, but Bridget & Frank moved back to B.I.. The father lived - Mannis lived in Escanaba.

This must be Paddy Baca.

Francis McCauley, July 7, 1886 ('85), age 14; born Aranmore; son of Patrick McCauley &

Mary Sharkey.

 

This fits with Mary Early's story that Paddy Baca came with the 1884 party. This boy was born in 1872 in Aranmore.

This 1886 date is filed in the church book. Can it really be the Frank, son of Patrick & Mary McCauley, with a stone in the cemetery[?] The stone says, "his grandparents Frank & Annie repose beside him," & Frank died Feb. 10, 1885. Probably Father Gallagher made this entry wrong.

I think this is the son of James F., who was born in 1874, thus 21 when Lillie was born. He died Sept. 9, 1898. Thus Emma Irene would have been posthumous - no, his death record says single. Is it the oldest son of John? He was born in 1869 - thus 26 when Lillie Margaret was born.

This is Cornelius's wife's sister. In 1880 she was living as a "servant" in the home of

Hugh Connaghan. "She raised the children."

 

 

I don't know them. Was she an Islander who came to her parents' home for the birth of her child who was baptized here?

There is a James McInnin (this must be McKinnon) on the 1866 list of Father Murray. In the 1860 census is James Cinity? - Must be this man.
