Martha Seger Investment Fund

The Martha Seger Investment Fund, established in honor of the esteemed former finance professor, empowers students with real-world investment experiences, bridging the gap between academic knowledge and practical application. Under faculty guidance, students gain invaluable insights into financial markets, ensuring Martha Seger's legacy continues to shape the future of finance education.

With nearly $350,000 in assets as of August 2024, the fund focuses on small- and mid-cap companies, providing students with a unique opportunity to engage with a diverse range of investments. Students meet weekly to analyze the fund’s performance, discuss market trends, and make recommendations regarding investments and divestments, as well as potential strategies to enhance the fund’s overall performance. This hands-on approach provides the opportunity to improve skills in financial analysis and decision-making, preparing students for exposure to employers and preparation for future careers.
