Health Administration Major
Health Administration Division
Welcome to the Health Administration Division. Health Administration offers the complete spectrum of all three levels of academic programs including an undergraduate major in health administration, a Master of Health Administration (MHA) program and a Doctor of Health Administration (DHA) program. Our goal is to prepare next-generation healthcare managers who will oversee the administrative operations of healthcare facilities; these include planning and supervising medical services, monitoring budgets, management of billing, developing staff training, leading quality improvement projects, and harnessing the power of health analytics for accurate insights. Healthcare administrators can enjoy employment in hospitals, nursing homes, and other healthcare facilities.
According to the U.S Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment in healthcare occupations is projected to grow 16 percent from 2020 to 2030, much faster than the average for all occupations, adding about 2.6 million new jobs. This increase to the demand in health services creates the need for professionals who are equipped with knowledge and skills to effectively manage expanding health systems that evolve to respond to new challenges and modes of care delivery. Modern health systems make decisions driven by evidence, in a data-driven healthcare world.
Our undergraduate major in health administration major fully certified by the Association of University Programs in Health Administration (AUPHA) and our Master of Health Administration program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education (CAHME). Our programs provide the continuum of skills, on all three levels of studies to prepare students to be successful leaders in this new era of healthcare delivery and are recognized for their quality nationwide, with UniversityHQ featuring our health administration major as the best one in the nation.
