Central Michigan University renews partnership with Oakland County to offer educational discounts
Central Michigan University is proud to announce the renewal of its
partnership with Oakland County, continuing a commitment that has been in place
since 2018. This renewed collaboration will provide over 5,000 Oakland County
employees, as well as their spouses and dependents under the age of 24, with a
15% tuition discount on most CMU Online programs.
The discount extends to a broad range of degree programs and certificates,
helping Oakland County employees and their families achieve personal and
professional growth through CMU’s flexible online learning platform.
“Central Michigan University is excited to strengthen our relationship with
Oakland County through this renewed partnership. Offering accessible,
high-quality online education is at the heart of what we do, and we are
thrilled to continue supporting the county’s employees and their families as
they pursue their educational goals,” said Kaleb Patrick, Interim Vice
President for Innovation and Online at Central Michigan University.
Since its inception in 2018, the partnership has empowered hundreds of
Oakland County employees to upskill or reskill, furthering their careers and
contributing to the workforce development of the region. The new agreement is
set to impact even more individuals, with spouses and dependents now also
eligible to benefit from the discount.
