For Journalists
Filming and photography on campus
News media are welcome to arrange a visit CMU's campus for purposes of filming, photography or interviewing students, faculty, staff or administrators. Such visits, however, should be prearranged with the University Communications team. We discourage unannounced visits and the university has the right to impose reasonable restrictions on news media if their visit obstructs business or academic operations or compromises student privacy.
The University Communications team can help arrange interviews and determine the best location to conduct these interviews and/or film b-roll.
Before coming to campus, media should contact CMU University Communications by calling 989-774-3197 or emailing news@cmich.edu. CMU student journalists do not need university permission to conduct reporting on campus.
Unless your vehicle is marked with station identification, parking on campus must be paid for using the Pango app.

- Live remote access – television stations tend to get the best reception for a Live Remote near or at Kelly/Shorts Stadium
