Graduate student earns prestigious Library of Congress internship

MPA student Pravallika Chirumamilla will complete federally funded internship this summer

Central Michigan University alum and graduate student Pravallika Chirumamilla, ’21, has received a prestigious internship to work at the Library of Congress in Washington D.C. this summer.

Pravallika and other students will work alongside the Library of Congress employees to further the mission and goals of the nation’s oldest federal cultural institution. Located on Capitol Hill, it is also the largest library in the world with more than 160 million items in its physical collections including books, manuscripts, prints, photos, film, video and sound recordings.

She will complete the federally funded internship through a partnership between CMU and The Washington Center.

Pravallika earned her Bachelor of Science degree from CMU in 2021 with a double major in Psychology and Political Science, a certificate in Lawmaking & Legal Processes, and as an Honors Program graduate.

She is currently enrolled in CMU’s Master of Public Administration Program (MPA) within The School of Politics, Society, Justice and Public Service.
