Tune in Friday, April 11 at 1 p.m. for great ideas and fierce competition. Then, join the judges, mentors, spectators and teams as they see who is going home with thousands of dollars in venture financing. The awards broadcast begins at 6:30 p.m. and one team will walk away as the overall best venture.

Central Michigan University’s College of Business Administration is the home of the Isabella Bank Institute for Entrepreneurship and the first Department of Entrepreneurship in the state of Michigan. We are a student-centric hub where experiential, curricular, and external entrepreneurial opportunities intersect.

Our mission is to maximize student success by fostering a campus-wide entrepreneurial mindset that promotes inter-disciplinary collaboration and the creation of new ventures.

We aim to create innovative programming, boost cross-campus and ecosystem collaboration and provide a comprehensive mentoring program.

Our institute provides extracurricular opportunities and is open to all undergraduate and graduate CMU students.

      CMU showcases top talent at Midwest Collegiate Computing Conference

      The L.V. Eberhard Conference Center in Grand Rapids, MI, played host to the annual Midwest Collegiate Computing Conference last weekend. Drawing participants from universities across Michigan, the event served as a platform for students to showcase their prowess in various information technology disciplines.

      With a lineup featuring six workshops and eleven competitive events covering Java Development, Python Development, Data Analytics, Database Design, and Cybersecurity, among others, the MWC3 offered a comprehensive exploration of contemporary IT skills.

      Central Michigan University emerged as a prominent contender at the conference, with fifteen students battling across multiple competitions. Their exemplary performance garnered praise and recognition, with several CMU participants clinching prestigious awards.

      • Grace Osiri – 2nd place in Data Analytics II with Tableau
      • Steven Bowman and Sreeja Muskula – 3rd place in Data Design

      • Deandra Akpomon-Daniels and Grace Isiri – 3rd place in Java Development
      • Steven Bowman – 1st place in Mainframe Systems with IBM Z Xplore
      • Brian Vorac and Connor Wiltsie – 1st place in Microcontroller Fundamentals with Arduino
      • Edom Belayneh and Hiarimino Ralison Rakotoson – 3rd place in Microcontroller Fundamentals with Arduino
