The IDEA Den is located in Grawn Hall room 166. It is an open makerspace for entrepreneurial students. Students from across campus can access resources in the IDEA Den like the free 3D printing, and Cricut available to help you design and build prototypes, logos and more.

Prototype building and design
Do you often have ideas on how to improve devices? Do you have an idea for an entirely new tool, product or part?
Tech Coordinator's Connor Johnson and Tyler Dewitt can help you get started on your first prototype! Set up a time for a consultation.
Prototype guidelines
- You can have 4 printed revisions of the same prototype.
- Please bring your design and any materials you have created to your consultation.
- You are welcome to but not required to provide CAD files.
- Additional parts may be required for a functional prototype.
- Additional parts (wires, gears, springs) are free of charge up to a certain price point.
- We recommend testing your prototype thoroughly before returning for revisions.
- Due to the size and capabilities of the 3D-printers, prototypes may not be the exact size as your intended product.

Graphic design guidelines
- Students can receive up to three revisions.

- You are welcome to but not required to provide digital files.
- Graphic design support can be for NVC and non-NVC ventures.
- Use of the Cricut is for venture development only. Other requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
