Then, join the judges, mentors, spectators and teams as they see who is going home with thousands of dollars in venture financing. The awards broadcast begins at 6:30 p.m. and one team will walk away as the overall best venture.
Central Michigan University’s College of Business Administration is the home of the Isabella Bank Institute for Entrepreneurship and the first Department of Entrepreneurship in the state of Michigan. We are a student-centric hub where experiential, curricular, and external entrepreneurial opportunities intersect.
Our mission is to maximize student success by fostering a campus-wide entrepreneurial mindset that promotes inter-disciplinary collaboration and the creation of new ventures.
We aim to create innovative programming, boost cross-campus and ecosystem collaboration and provide a comprehensive mentoring program.
Our institute provides extracurricular opportunities and is open to all undergraduate and graduate CMU students.

Chris Moberg, dean of Central Michigan University’s College of Business Administration has selected Dr. Sanjay Kumar to serve as an associate dean in the college. Kumar will assume this new role on May 28, 2024.
As an associate dean, Kumar will provide leadership throughout the college to support program management, policy development and implementation, accreditation reporting, collaboration with Faculty Personnel Services, budgeting processes, and faculty recruitment and development, among other areas.
“We are thrilled that Sanjay will be joining our leadership team this summer. He is an experienced administrator and outstanding scholar who will help the college continue providing an innovative, relevant learner experience in all of our programs and to achieve our growth goals,” shared Dean Moberg.
Kumar currently holds several positions at Valparaiso University, including Associate Dean in the College of Business, the Richard E. Meier Endowed Chair Professor of Management, and Professor of Information and Decision Sciences. Kumar earned a doctorate in management science with a major in operations management and a master’s degree in management and administrative services with a major in supply chain management at the University of Texas at Dallas. He served as the President of the Midwest Decision Sciences Institute. He is also a visiting professor at Zhejiang University of Technology, Hangzhou, China.
