Tune in Friday, April 11 at 1 p.m. for great ideas and fierce competition. Then, join the judges, mentors, spectators and teams as they see who is going home with thousands of dollars in venture financing. The awards broadcast begins at 6:30 p.m. and one team will walk away as the overall best venture.

Central Michigan University’s College of Business Administration is the home of the Isabella Bank Institute for Entrepreneurship and the first Department of Entrepreneurship in the state of Michigan. We are a student-centric hub where experiential, curricular, and external entrepreneurial opportunities intersect.

Our mission is to maximize student success by fostering a campus-wide entrepreneurial mindset that promotes inter-disciplinary collaboration and the creation of new ventures.

We aim to create innovative programming, boost cross-campus and ecosystem collaboration and provide a comprehensive mentoring program.

Our institute provides extracurricular opportunities and is open to all undergraduate and graduate CMU students.

      Open Forums set for Vice President of University Communications and Chief Marketing Officer finalists

      The Central Michigan University community will have the opportunity to meet with finalists in the search for the next Vice President of University Communications and Chief Marketing Officer.  Following a national search, two candidates have been invited to campus to meet with various university stakeholders and attend open forums.

      Members of the university community are invited to meet the candidates, learn about their backgrounds, and hear about their interest in this leadership position during the following forums:

      Tuesday, April 29 - Mark Lane
      3:45-4:45 p.m.
      Health Professions Building 1259

      Lane most recently served as the vice president for communications and marketing at Augusta University.  Lane earned a Bachelor of Arts in journalism from Texas Tech University.

      Thursday, May 1 - Harlan Teller
      3:00-4:00 p.m.
      Health Professions Building 2023

      Teller served most recently as the chief marketing officer at Northern Arizona University. Teller earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from Northern Illinois University.
