The Central Michigan University Museum of Cultural and Natural History’s new exhibit highlights creativity, exploration and music of 1969.

A new exhibit at the Central Michigan University Museum of Cultural and Natural History highlights the expression of freedom through creativity, innovation and exploration in music, arts and technology in 1969.

“Kozmic Clash: Peace, Love, and Outer Space” explores groundbreaking events of that year, including the Woodstock festival and the Apollo 11 space mission, and illustrates key achievements that occurred on both liberal and conservative fronts.

The exhibit features include a hands-on music gallery and a vintage Volkswagen bus. “Kosmic Clash” opens with a public reception at 4 p.m. Monday, April 22, in Rowe Hall. Admission is free and open to the public.

The museum is open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturdays. It is closed Sundays and during university holidays and breaks.
