Then, join the judges, mentors, spectators and teams as they see who is going home with thousands of dollars in venture financing. The awards broadcast begins at 6:30 p.m. and one team will walk away as the overall best venture.

Central Michigan University’s College of Business Administration is the home of the Isabella Bank Institute for Entrepreneurship and the first Department of Entrepreneurship in the state of Michigan. We are a student-centric hub where experiential, curricular, and external entrepreneurial opportunities intersect.

Our mission is to maximize student success by fostering a campus-wide entrepreneurial mindset that promotes inter-disciplinary collaboration and the creation of new ventures.

We aim to create innovative programming, boost cross-campus and ecosystem collaboration and provide a comprehensive mentoring program.

Our institute provides extracurricular opportunities and is open to all undergraduate and graduate CMU students.

Search begins for vice president of advancement

President Robert Davies has appointed a search committee to conduct a national search for a vice president of advancement. The role has been held in an interim status by Jennifer Cotter since September 2022.

Davies appointed Mary Moran Hill, vice president of finance and administrative services, to co-chair the seven-person committee with Nathan Tallman, vice-chair of CMU’s Advancement Board. The other members of the committee are:

Tangela Cheatham, deputy athletics director/administration.
Ari Harris, executive director of communications, University Communications.
Paula Lancaster, dean of the College of Education and Human Services.
Chris Moberg, dean of the College of Business Administration.
Scott Nadeau, chair of the CMU National Alumni Board.

Assisting the committee will be Cali Clark, director of employment and compensation, as the Human Resources representative. Mitchel Hartman, administrative assistant to the VP/FAS, will provide administrative support for the search.

The search will commence soon and continue during the Spring 2024 semester.
