On Monday, October 14, members of the Student Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (SAND) gathered at the Allen Foundation Culinary Nutrition Center for a fun and interactive baking event. The students worked together to prepare delicious pumpkin chocolate chip muffins, embracing the fall season with this nutritious and flavorful treat.
The event not only served as a hands-on culinary experience, but also as an opportunity for community building and networking among students passionate about nutrition and dietetics. As students connected over their shared interests, they exchanged knowledge, built friendships and furthered their professional networks.
"SAND is dedicated to fostering both professional growth and personal connections," said Elizbeth Johnson, president of the Student Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. "Events like this provide a welcoming space for students to share their passion for healthy eating while having fun and learning together."
The Student Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics looks forward to hosting more events in the future, continuing to create engaging opportunities for learning and collaboration in the field of nutrition.
