Central Michigan University President Bob Davies will deliver his second State of the University Address Wednesday, March 3, 2021.

Central Michigan University President Bob Davies will deliver his second State of the University address at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 3.

As part of CMU's ongoing efforts to slow the spread of COVID-19, the event will be available via livestream only. Students, faculty, staff, community partners, alumni and friends may view the address on the Office of the President website.

Although State of the University addresses typically dedicate a significant portion of time to highlights of the past year, Davies said this year's address will be more forward-looking.

"The challenges of 2020 presented us with an extraordinary opportunity to rethink what our university can and should be moving forward," Davies wrote in a message to the campus community.

Davies said he will provide an update on CMU's Strategic Envisioning Process and outline ambitious yet attainable goals for CMU's future.
