Join a cohort of passionate undergrads who are excited to become the future of education. Develop a strong understanding of best practices that you can integrate into your future classroom! Scholars get one-of-a-kind access to the center's makerspace. The time you have working with tools, assisting K - 12 students, and learning from former and current classroom teachers makes this program the perfect fit for future educators.
Scholars connect in the makerspace at our welcome back event! As an Education Scholar you will:
Practice your teaching skills in the maker space
Support programming under the mentorship of experienced classroom teachers
Help students prototype to find solutions to problems
Gain real-world experience!
Earn while you learn
You're eligible to receive up to $2,260, which includes:
$1,000 stipend for tuition
Annual membership in a national math or science association
An all-expense paid trip to a national math or science conference
Housing in a Residential College
Four co-ed floors of Sweeney Hall.
Two-bedroom suite shared by four or five people
Single beds and a private bathroom per suite

Potential STEM Education Scholars are expected to have:
SAT scores at or above 530 (math) and 480 (writing).
GPA of 3.5 or higher.
Completed STEM Education Scholar Application
