Mission
You're a trendsetter, and your acute design sense could lead you to a great job in fashion merchandising and design or interior design.
The Department of Fashion, Interior Design, and Merchandising (DIFM) is focused on the preparation of students for a variety of careers in the fields of fashion, interior design, and merchandising. Central to our mission is the application of technology to the design and merchandising process and the dissemination of original research and creative endeavors that expand the current body of knowledge related to our disciplines. DIFM embraces learning and research in a variety of formats that reflect the needs and practices of 21st-century students and educators. In addition, diversity and inclusion are of the utmost importance to our department, and we aim to address curriculum, instruction, research, and service from a perspective that celebrates diversity and creates an inclusive space for all persons.
