Graduate assistantship opportunities in Student Affairs
In partnership with the Divisions of Student Affairs at CMU and nearby Alma College, students in the master’s of arts in higher education administration and social justice are eligible for several fully-funded graduate assistantships.
Assistantships yearly compensation offers a salary of approximately $11,000. It includes a full tuition waiver (valued at $10,500), a private graduate housing option as part of the package (no in-hall responsibilities), and membership to our graduate learning community.

Educational leadership graduate research assistantships
Graduate research assistantships are available for doctoral students in educational leadership. Graduate Research Assistants are assigned to a faculty member to conduct research projects with the faculty's expertise. The workload for a Graduate Research Assistant maybe twenty hours per week for a full-time or ten hours per week for a part-time position. Tuition remission of up to twenty (20) hours of graduate study per academic year (Fall, Spring, and Summer terms) and a stipend. Assistantship applications are currently closed for the academic year.
