Residents are provided with a compensation and benefits package that are in line with the State of Michigan average for residency programs.

- According to ACGME requirements, residents will be allowed up to six (6) weeks of paid time away from training for purposes of parental, caregiver and medical leave one (1) time during their entire training while reserving the resident or fellow’s right to utilize at least one (1) week of Paid Time Off (PTO) time outside of the leave. The six (6) weeks of paid time away must be utilized within one (1) year of a Qualifying Reason. Residents must use all PTO and Catastrophic Sick Bank Allowance (CSBA) during the leave. If a resident has not utilized any PTO prior to the start of a leave, the resident is eligible for one (1) week of Reserved PTO after the previous six (6) weeks of PTO has been exhausted.
