We welcome the opportunity to assist you in navigating everyday life and relationships. We are a no-cost mental health training center for graduate students studying to become addiction, clinical mental health, and school counselors while under the direct supervision of an experienced clinical supervisor.

The CCCD's waiting room and lobby are located in Room #322 of the EHS building. You can register for virtual counseling sessions by calling 989-774-3532 or by registering for an appointment. Please feel free to reach out. We are here to support you!

What to expect

When you register for an appointment, you will be contacted by the clinic to set up an appointment. The clinic will only contact you via telephone or email with a cmich.edu extension. We offer face to face sessions on Tuesdays and virtual sessions Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday when the clinic is open. Please see hours above and as a reminder, all counselors are in training and are supervised by Licensed Professional Counselors. All sessions are recorded with client consent for training purposes only. The Informed Consent form is included in the registration process and should be signed before your first session. Your initial session will be an Intake and will last roughly 90 minutes. Future sessions can be scheduled with your counselor during session or by contacting the clinic. Appointments are available Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of each week during the following times:

  • Mondays in person or virtual 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm 
  • Tuesdays virtual only 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm 
  • Wednesday in person or virtual 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Where we are located

The Center for Community Counseling & Development is located on the 3rd floor (Room 322) in the Education & Human Services (EHS) Building, on the campus of Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant. The EHS building is located off of Washington Street, between Ottawa Court and Ojibway Court.
