Central Michigan University welcomed home over 300 alumni and friends for its Alumni Takeover Weekend. The event featured a tailgate parking lot party outside of Kelly/Shorts Stadium, educational classes taught by alumni, a Mount Pleasant bar crawl, "Gentle Friday" on Saturday at Warriner Mall, a reunion of the popular local 80's band "The Dots" live at Rubbles, a Wayside dance party, a pajama party in a residence hall lobby, an on campus Saturday breakfast and Sunday brunch, and much more.

Alumni and friends were also given the opportunity to stay in the residence halls the entire weekend. Many alumni are raving about their experience, including alumna Elizabeth Dailey, who says, "We had a blast! I liked this vibe better than homecoming!"

Alumna Alanna Sredzinski agreed, adding, "It was the best weekend! Can't wait for 2025!" The Alumni Takeover Weekend is taking a hiatus in 2024 and will return in 2025.
