Honor cords and medallions

Honors cords and medallions are for undergraduate students only. Undergraduate students graduating with honors will receive, at no cost, honors medallions or cords. Summa Cum Laude (3.90 - 4.00) and Magna Cum Laude (3.75 - 3.89) graduates receive medallions and Cum Laude (3.50 - 3.74) graduates receive cords. Eligible students will receive an email a few weeks prior to commencement with options to pick up their cord or medallion. Cords and medallions can also be picked up at the registration table on the day of commencement.

Societies and programs approved to wear insignia

Only societies and programs approved by the Academic Senate's Academic, Standards, and Honors Committee (ASH) may wear insignia at commencement. Guidelines for wearing honors insignia at commencement and a list of approved societies and programs approved by the Academic Senate can be found below.

Deadlines for applying to wear insignia at commencement are as follows:

• October 15 for December commencements
• March 15 for May commencements
