Faculty and Staff Commencement Information

Faculty and staff are invited to participate in the Spring 2025 Commencement ceremonies. Please see the information below on how to participate.  

Ceremony information

The ceremonies will be held on Friday, May 9 and Saturday, May 10, 2025. All ceremonies will take place in McGuirk Arena. A breakdown of the ceremony schedule may be viewed here: Commencement Schedule.

Participation

For faculty and staff who would like to participate in the ceremony as a platform party member, please complete the registration form below by Friday, April 11. Those who sign up will receive parking information, security credentials, and ceremony instructions via the campus mail prior to commencement.

Academic regalia ordering

All ceremony participants must be dressed in academic regalia.  Participants who need to rent regalia may do so by completing the rental form below by Friday, March 28.  Please contact the CMU Bookstore with any regalia questions by calling 989-774-7493.

Faculty and Staff regalia may be picked up beginning Monday, May 5, from the Bookstore Lower Level (UC 102) during the hours noted below:

On the day of commencement, orders may be picked up in Rose 121 at 8:00 a.m. All rental gowns must be returned 30 minutes following the end of the ceremony.
