Honors Program Scholarships
The following are additional scholarships available only to Honors Program students. These applications are available in the spring semester. Students are also encouraged to consult their academic departments and colleges for additional scholarship opportunities.
David Gill Memorial Scholarship
Established in 2016 by Judy and Megan Gill
- Award up to $1,000
- Track II Honors Student in good standing
- 3.5 GPA or higher
- Must be enrolled at CMU for the following Fall semester
- Recipients must earn at least 24 new credit hours within fall and spring semester sequence of a given year and maintain a minimum GPA of 3.25
- Renewable award
Ruth Heyman Honors Scholarship
Established in 2007 by the Ruth Heyman Foundation
- Award $2,500
- Track II Honors student demonstrating financial need with the FASFA
- Student has not been awarded other Centralis scholarships
- ACT score of 25
- 3.5 GPA or higher
- Recipients must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.25 or higher
- Recipients must live on campus their second year
- Renewable award – up to 4 years
Lighthouse Scholarship
Established in 2022 by Robert and Shayne Wuerfel
- Award $1,500
- Centralis Gold recipient demonstrating financial need with the FASFA
- Honors student in good standing
- Recipients must earn at least 24 new credit hours within fall and spring semester sequence of a given year and maintain a minimum GPA of 3.25
- Renewable award
Centralis Alumni Scholarship
Established in 2014 by Centralis Alumni, Faculty and Friends
- Award $1,250
- Honors student in good standing (Track I and Track II)
- 3.25 GPA minimum
- Completion of 56 credit hours by the end of Spring semester of application
- Renewable award
Honors Alumni Endowed Award Scholarship
Established in 2005 by Honors Alumni
- Award $250 - $1,000
- Honors student in good standing (Track I or Track II)
- 3.25 GPA minimum
- Completion of 56 credit hours by the end of Spring semester of application
- Must be enrolled at CMU for the following Fall semester
- Recipients must earn at least 24 new credit hours within fall and spring semester sequence of a given year and maintain a minimum GPA of 3.25
- Applicants need to submit an essay describing the role Honors Program has played in the candidate’s success
