Whether you need a quiet space tailored for individual study or a room large enough for your group project to meet and collaborate, the University Library has you covered. Study rooms can be found on every floor of the library and reserving one has never been easier. All of the library’s study rooms can be reserved online through our easy-to-use booking site. On the site you will find filters that will help you find the perfect space for your needs. Filters include limiting the type of room you would like to book such as individual or group study rooms; the capacity of the room; whether you need room for one or eight people; your preferred floor of the library; and the date and time you would like to book the space.

Once you have found your ideal study room, you can easily book it by completing the form with your first and last name and cmich email address. When you arrive at your booked study room, please be sure to check in using the QR code in your study room or by following the link provided in your booking email and entering the provided code. If you fail to check into the room within 15 minutes of the start time of your reservation, the reservation will be cancelled. If you no longer need the study space, please use the cancellation link provided in your booking email.

The minimum reservation length is 1 hour, and you can extend this time in 10-minute increments for a maximum of 3 hours per day. You are limited to 3 hours a day in bookings, and study rooms can be booked up to 2 weeks in advance, perfect for those planning ahead. Despite their names our study rooms provide a space for more than just studying. Group study rooms are great for brainstorming sessions, practicing presentations, working on group projects and more. Individual study rooms can provide a quiet private space for video-conference calls and interviews. So, the next time you find yourself in need of a study space, check out the library’s booking site for up-to-date live information on what spaces are available for you and your groups.
