Financial aid advisors are available to assist you with your financial aid questions in several modalities. Appointments are offered Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. by phone, in-person (Warriner 202), or virtually (MS Teams).
When calling our office, please have your student ID handy, this will allow us to better assist you. You can find your student ID in CentralLink under "My Profile".

FAFSA updates
The FAFSA is available to complete online. The FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) for the 2024-25 academic year has undergone significant changes due to FAFSA Simplification. The form has become simplified and easier than ever to complete. To maximize your aid eligibility, make sure to file your FAFSA every year. Future FAFSAs will open on October 1st. To receive priority consideration for available institutional funds, submit the FAFSA by June 1st.
- CMU's Title IV School Code is 002243.
- CMU must receive your FAFSA application at least two weeks before the end of the semester for which you are enrolled.

FERPA authorization
In accordance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974, our office must receive permission from you to speak with an individual regarding your financial aid via the FERPA release form. Fill out your FERPA release form that is found within your financial aid portal under the drop-down selection in the documents area. You can contact our office any time to change your release.
