Martin Luther King, Jr. Week
"A day on, not a day off" is how Martin Luther King, Jr. Week is celebrated at Central Michigan University.
Annually, the third week in January kicks off the celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s legacy with a week of activities organized by Multicultural Academic Student Services (MASS).
Most events are free and open to the public unless otherwise noted. Seating is limited on a first-come, first-served basis.

Monday, Jan. 20, 2025
- Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. CommUNITY Peace Service at 9:30 a.m. in Finch Fieldhouse. if you would like to RSVP for a table,please click here to access the table registration form. Doors for the event will open at 9am.
- MLK, Jr. Day of Service with the Mary Ellen Brandell Volunteer Center at 12pm in the Bovee UC Rotunda
- Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. CommUNITY Peace March and Vigil will begin in the Bovee UC Rotunda at 3pm to march through the residential area and proceed downtown.

- Mission Possible: A Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Showcase at 6pm in the Bovee UC Rotund
Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2025
- MLK, Jr. Keynote Speaker: Diana Patton at 7pm in the EHS Building, Rm 118 (French Auditorium)
Friday, Jan. 24, 2025
- MLK, Jr. Charity Basketball Game at 6 p.m .in the Student Activity Center, Small Court, Forum, court 5 and 6.
