Training Completed By Title IX Personnel
CMU does not discriminate on the basis of sex in the education program or activity that it operates, including admission and employment, and is required by Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 not to discriminate in such a manner.
Inquiries about the application of Title IX can be made to CMU's Title IX Coordinator, the US Department of Education's Assistant Secretary, or both.
In accordance with federal and state law and university policy, individuals involved in the resolution of Sex and Gender-Based Misconduct must complete all legally required training. These individuals include, but are not limited to:
- The Title IX Coordinator and their designees,
- Investigators,
- Decision-makers,
- Other persons who are responsible for implementing CMU’s resolution procedures or have the authority to modify or terminate supportive measures.
- Facilitators of alternative resolution processes.
OCRIE will make all training material available upon request for inspection by members of the public.
