Academic space and remodeling

The office of Academic Space and Remodeling is responsible for the effective and efficient management of all academic spaces at CMU in collaboration with University Engineering and Planning.

Strategic initiatives

1. Ensure the completion of improvements to academic space through capital and deferred maintenance funding sources to facilitate the educational mission and the University’s Master Plan. 
2. Facilitate the planning and prioritization of future improvements to academic spaces that meet the University’s Master Plan and the educational mission of the University. 
3. Engage leadership within the Colleges and University Departments in the Planning and Prioritization of future facility improvements. 
4. Assist with the rectification of infrastructure and safety related concerns in academic spaces.
5. Ensure academic space is inclusive, and meets current and future Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion standards and initiatives.

University fees

The Office of Financial Planning & Budgets is responsible for maintaining a schedule of fees/charges assessed by the University to students and outside organizations. If a fee or charge has not been properly authorized and is not represented on the University Fee Schedule, it should not be assessed.
