Wightman Hall

Witness the excitement of this immediate firing process as Brett Sauve, an Art and Design Alumni, along with Izzy and the crew take red hot pots out of the kiln and place them into barrels to burn and smoke in newspaper, sawdust, and leaves. Once cooled, the smoke, carbon, and lack of oxygen results in magical clay and glaze surfaces. Don’t miss out on seeing this collaborative firing event!

Plachta Auditorium

This is the final event of CMU Homecoming Spirit Week that is one of the most spirited and high-energy events held on campus! This awesome lip-sync/dance competition is where CMU Students compete in groups on a stage for the coveted of Gold Cup Trophy, along with finding out who will be our Gold Ambassador for 2024.

It’s the 2nd Annual Alumni Takeover of the Wayside from 6-9 pm!Enjoy “oldies” from the 70s through the early 2000s with DJ Darryl “Mack” (who DJ’d at the Wayside in the early 80s) and the Wayside’s resident DJ Tré.
