As director of government relations for Corewell Health, Megan is a registered lobbyist advocating at the local, state and federal levels for Corewell Health’s 22 hospitals across the state. Her passion for helping others drives Megan to use her knowledge of government policies and her strong ability to build relationships to implement groundbreaking change, particularly related to healthcare access, behavioral health, and training the future generation of healthcare practitioners.

Megan led lobbying efforts for PPE, testing supplies, and necessary funding to assist the health system in weathering the pandemic. She also led advocacy in Washington, D.C., ensuring funding was allocated to hospitals and other areas of need through the CARES Act and other COVID-era funding. Her advocacy brought the system upwards of $300 million in government funding in 2020. Now, she is working to elevate policies to address barriers to healthcare access, expanding talent pipeline programs to train and retain practitioners in the state of Michigan, and advocating for the healthcare needs of communities across Metro-Detroit, Grand Rapids, and Southwest Michigan. 

Throughout her career, Megan has worked as a legislative assistant and director at the state capitol. She was the first communications and program associate for The Women's Initiatives for Gender Justice in The Hague, The Netherlands assisting returning child soldiers from conflict and advocating for their rights at the International Criminal Court. Megan is also a graduate of the Michigan Political Leadership Program and currently serves as an auxiliary member for the Michigan Women's Commission.

Megan holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from CMU and master’s degree in international relations and diplomacy from Leiden University in the Netherlands. She exudes love for her alma mater and has hired and mentored numerous interns through the early days of their careers; many of those people still work at the Michigan State Capitol to this day.
