Coffee with a career coach

Join the Career Development Center live on Facebook for informal discussions about a variety of career topics. Special guests include CMU alumni talking about their career paths, employers sharing tips for the job search, and CMU faculty and staff talking about how to make the most out of your time on campus. Previous episodes are available on our YouTube channel.


Mocktails and etiquette dinner

Network with employers, learn about table manners and professional etiquette, and enjoy a great meal! Join the Career Development Center to get ready for professional meals during an upcoming job search, internship, or graduate school interview.


Employer spotlight

The Employer Spotlight Program serves to better educate and prepare undergraduate and graduate students as early as their freshman year. Through this program students are provided the opportunity to engage with a featured employer and learn more about the internship and career opportunities available.


Multicultural career workshop

The Multicultural Career Workshop is an evening event that provides an intimate opportunity for students to interact with various employers. All attendees will be offered information on the various organization’s mission and what current and prospective opportunities exist. Professional dress encouraged.


JC Penney suit-up

What is Suit Up? It is a partnership between CMU and JCPenney to offer CMU students, faculty and staff an opportunity to get career and professional items at a great price. Participants receive an Extra 30% off on the career and professional categories.


Headshots

This event is the perfect opportunity to have a headshot taken for all of your professional social networking and development needs.


Coneys and careers

Every fall semester we welcome students back by handing out both coney's and regular hot dogs. This is a great opportunity for students, faculty, and staff to learn about the services and resources The Career Development Center has to offer.

Warm up with the Career Development Center staff outside of Central Eats for FREE hot chocolate and cookies!
