Welcome to Central Michigan University Government and External Relations.

Central Michigan University’s Government and External Relations office serves as a liaison between the CMU community and our elected officials at all levels of government. By hosting officials on campus, and by accompanying members of campus on visits to Lansing and Washington, D.C., we are able to foster a stronger understanding of the university’s mission and vision and the resulting impact that CMU has on the surrounding community.

The Government and External Relations office advocates on issues such as higher education funding, as well as in other areas which could impact CMU programming. We also enjoy the opportunity to mentor students through our Capital City Internship Program.
